An Empirical Study on the Influence of Employment Values on Graduate Employment in Western Regions
Talent is a pivotal factor in the development of the western region.In recent years,the directional flow of employment opportunities for university graduates has exhibited a phenomenon akin to"peacocks flying southeast,"posing numerous challenges to talent attraction and retention in the western region.This study,employing a sample of 400 postgraduates from a"Double First-Class"institution,undertakes quantitative research to delve into the mechanisms by which employment perspectives influence students'decisions to seek employment in the western region.Findings reveal that two values—social advancement and familial support—along with students'places of origin,significantly impact their inclination towards employment in the west.
