Can the Anthropocene Be Controlled?——A Reflection about the Modernization Plan
The ecomodernism rising in the"Anthropocene"represents an optimistic modernization mod-el,which believes that the"Anthropocene"can be controlled,and that human control can contribute to human prosperity and world vitality.As the leading figure of the fourth generation of Frankfurt School's critical theory,Rosa proposes a more realistic modernization model with"resonance"as the core through the ideal of"uncontrollability".He firmly believes that the world is inherently uncon-trolled,and"full control"will make the world appear more fundamental uncontrollabilities,which just confirms dilemmas encountered by Ecomodernism in the process of development.However,these two modernization models have not properly answered the issue of whether the"Anthropocene"can be controlled,nor led human beings to a better future.As a result,based on the further reflection on mo-dernity,human beings need to continue to explore the mystery of whether the"Anthropocene"can be controlled,and create a modernization plan adapted to the"Anthropocene".
