The global COVID-19 pandemic and the increasingly fierce great power game in recent years have made a significant"fragmentation"development trend of the global economic layout,forcing the global economy to"restart",which has a huge impact on China's strategic metal mineral industry.For a long period in the future,the development of China's strategic metal mineral industry will still focus on the industrial base varieties and new energy transformation metal varieties.However,due to natural endowments,China can hardly rely solely on domestic resources to meet its needs,and the mining resources of countries along the"Belt and Road"will still be the main source of critical mineral resources in China.Facing the increasingly complex and severe external environment,it is necessary to vigorously promote cooperation among the co-construction countries of the"Belt and Road",actively advocate the ESG action projects and build China's image under the framework of major-country diplomacy,make great efforts for domestic works of stabilizing the economy,market and financial,implement differentiated measures on key commodities,and formulate targeted development ideas and measures,vigorously reduce domestic low-efficient production capacity,improve the key industry technologies and the level of recycling and utilization of recycled metal,and enhance the competitiveness of industry enterprises,establish a"safe return"channel for important national materials,and comprehensively improve the ability to ensure strategic mineral resources and resource security.
