Effect of combined use of three labor induction methods on the safety of pregnancy termination in the second trimester of scarred uterus
Objective To analyze the effect of the combination of cervical dilation balloon, mifepristone and ethacridine lactate(Rivanol)on successful labor induction and safety of pregnant women with second trimester with scar uterus. Methods A total of 160 pregnant women with second trimester of scarred uterus admitted to the First People's Hospital of Wuan City from March 2018 to March 2023 were randomly divided into four groups,A,B,C and D,with 40 cases in each group. The stage of labor after labor induction, clinical effects of labor induction, and incidence of complications related to labor induction were compared in each group were analyzed. Results Group D had the highest delivery rate within 24 h(52.50%)(P<0.05).The total incidence of induced labor related complications in group D was only 7.50%,which was significantly lower than that in groups A,B and C(P<0.05).There was no uterine rupture in group D.Conclusion The success rate and safety of the three combined methods in inducing labor in the second trimester of scarred uterus are higher.
