Value analysis of Th9 and IL-9 expression in predicting surgical prognosis of patients with endometrial cancer
Objective To analyze the relationship between T helper cell(T helper cell,Th)9 and interleukin 9(Interleukin 9,IL-9)and the prognosis of patients with endometrial cancer(EC)after surgery.Methods A total of 136 EC patients who underwent surgical treatment in Lishui Municipal Central Hospital from March 2017 to February 2020 were selected as the research subjects.Th9,its related cytokine IL-9 and tumor markers were detected before surgery,and general clinical data were recorded.All patients were followed up for 3 years after treatment and discharge.The follow-up period ended in February 2023,the patients were divided into survival group and death group based on the survival status during follow-up.Cox regression was used to analyze the relationship between the level of Th9 and its related cytokine IL-9 and the survival prognosis of patients undergoing EC surgery.Results From March 2017 to February 2020,a total of 136 EC patients were included,of which 110 patients survived during the follow-up period,with a survival rate of 80.88%.The proportion of stage Ⅱ in the death group was higher than that in the survival group,and the levels of Th9 cells,serum CA199 and IL-9 were higher than those in the survival group(P<0.05).The results of Cox regression model showed that the increased level of stage Ⅱ,CA199,Th9 cells and IL-9 led to an increased the risk of survival and prognosis in EC patients(P<0.05).ROC curve showed that Th9 cells and IL-9 alone and in combination had good predictive value for survival and prognosis of patients undergoing EC surgery,and the combined predictive value was the best.The mortality of low Th9 group and low IL-9 group was higher than that of high Th9 cell group and high IL-9 group,and the difference was statistically significant(log rankx2=44.140,27.289,P<0.001).Conclusion Th9 and its cytokine IL-9 are correlated with the survival prognosis of patients after EC surgery,and the increased levels of both indicate a high risk of poor survival prognosis of patients,and both may become effective means to predict the survival prognosis of patients in the future.
