Expression levels and clinical significance of TGF-β1 and Endoglin in serum and umbilical cord blood of patients with hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy
Objective To explore the expression levels and clinical significance of transforming growth factor-βi(TGF-β1)and Endoglin in serum and umbilical cord blood of patients with hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy(HDCP).Methods The clinical data of 148 patients with HDCP admitted from February 2020 to April 2023 were retrospectively analyzed in the Pizhou Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University, and the patients were set as observation group(n=148),and normal pregnant women were included in control group(n=109).The differences in TGF-β1 and Endoglin in serum and umbilical cord blood were compared between both groups of patients.ROC curve was applied to analyze the diagnostic value of serum indicators. The patients in the observation group were classified into gestational hypertension group(n=64)and preeclampsia group(n=84)by adopting disease severity, and the levels of TGF-β1 and Endoglin in serum and umbilical cord blood were compared. The diagnostic value of serum indicators on the severity was analyzed. Results The levels of TGF-β1 and Endoglin in serum and Endoglin in umbilical cord blood in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance in umbilical cord blood TGF-β1 level between the two groups(P>0.05).ROC curve showed that the AUCs of serum TGF-β1 and Endoglin in the diagnosis of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy were 0.830 and 0.711 respectively(P<0.05).The levels of TGF-β1 and Endoglin in serum and umbilical cord blood in preeclampsia group were higher than those in gestational hypertension group(P<0.05).ROC curve revealed that the AUCs of serum TGF-β1 and Endoglin in diagnosing the severity of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy were 0.808 and 0.905(P<0.05).Conclusion The changes of expression levels of TGF-β1 and Endoglin are related to the occurrence and development of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.
