Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Criteria of Graphite Deposits in Chakletu Area,East Kunlun
In order to study the geological characteristics and ore searching signs of the graphite mine in Chakoletu, geological surveys, trenching works, drilling works and natural electric field method surveys have been carried out in the study area. The results show that the crystalline graphite ore in the Chakoletu area is embedded in the carbonaceous metamorphic rocks of the Jingshukou Group of the Paleoproterozoic era,and the ore-bearing rocks are carbonaceous marble and quartz schist, which were formed by regional metamorphism in several phases and the intrusion of tectonics magma in the later stage, and finally formed the graphite ore. There are 3 graphite ore zones and 24 graphite ore bodies in the whole area, and the ore minerals are crystalline graphite, the fixed carbon CGD content in graphite is 6.34%,and it is divided into two types:marble type and schist type. The article describes the geological characteristics of the graphite deposits in Chakoletu, with a view to providing a basis for the prospect of graphite ore resource exploration in the region.
