Geological Characteristics and Prospecting Indicators of The Chenggang Graphite Deposit in Xinyi,Jiangsu
The Chenggang graphite mine is located on the southeastern edge of the North China Plate, between the Tanlufault zone. The Chenggang graphite deposit is located in the middle of the Neoarchean Paleoproterozoic Chenggang rock group, and is produced in a layered or quasi layered manner. The ore body is relatively large in scale. The natural type of ore is gneiss type graphite ore, with good ore quality. The formation of the ore deposit is due to regional metamorphic graphite deposits, which are composed of calcareous clastic rocks and carbonate rocks containing organic matter formed through later regional metamorphism. The prospecting indicators for the Chenggang graphite deposit are obvious, and the lithology closely related to graphite mineralization is mainly graphite containing diopside(or tremolite)plagioclase gneiss, diopside plagioclase gneiss, marble, etc.
