Current Situation of Talc Mineral Resources in Shandong and Suggestions for Exploration,Development and Utilization
Talc ore is one of the advantageous and characteristic non-metallic mineral resources in Shandong Province and even in China,it has gradually become a major scarce non-metallic mineral in China,the demand in strategic emerging industries is increasing.11 talc ore producing areas have been discovered in Shandong Province,all of them are carbonate rock salt type,concentrated on the Jiaobei Uplift,the marble formations in the ancient Proterozoic Fanzishan and Jingshan groups are the main ore bearing strata.Over the past 30 years,Shandong Province has not added any new talc ore production areas or resources,the amount of resources available for development and utilization is decreasing,high quality talc resources are nearing depletion,clearly insufficient supply.This article systematically summarizes the resource distribution characteristics and exploration and development status of talc deposits in Shandong Province,analyzed the main problems currently existing,and proposed suggestions for the exploration,development,and utilization of talc deposits in Shandong Province in response to the problem.
