Metallogenic Regularity and Prospecting Direction of Wollastonite Deposits in Northeast China
Wollastonite is a dominant mineral in Northeast China. The genesis of the deposit can be divided into contact metamorphic type(metamorphic type),contact metasomatic type(skarn type)and regional metamorphic type. The wollastonite deposit in Northeast China is mainly contact metamorphic type, and the ore bearing rock is marine carbonate formation. In particular, siliceous marble and siliceous nodule marble are the most favorable for mineralization. The metallogenic stratigraphic age is mostly Carboniferous and Permian, followed by Devonian,Ordovician,Silurian and Sinian.Magmatic intrusions are favorable for mineralization with intermediate acid rocks, and sometimes intermediate basic complexes also become the thermal conditions of contact metamorphism and mineralization. The intrusive rock ages closely related to wollastonite deposits and mineralization in Northeast China are Variscan,Indosinian and Yanshanian.Variscan and Yanshanian are more related to mineralization, and they are mainly crust derived.
