An Improved Method for Testing Free Silicon Dioxide in Limestone
A study on the improvement of the apparatus for the determination of free silicon dioxide in limestone by gravimetric method, the use of a hexagonal experimental electric furnace(2000W)to dissolve the ore,the study on the temperature and time of dissolving the ore,the results show that the detection limit of the method is 0.0009%,the precision range is 0.96%~2.17%,and the accuracy is good at the solution temperature of 300~350℃and the solution time of 5.5~6.5min,the test results can meet the requirements of DZ/T 0130-2006"Quality Management specification for geological and mineral laboratory testing",and are feasible in limestone samples.Because it is difficult to buy ammonium nitrate on the market, the experiment uses a mixture of nitric acid and ammonia water instead of ammonium nitrate as a washing solution to neutralize phosphoric acid.
