Research on the Components of Patent Operation System of Technology Enterprise Group—Grounded Analysis Based on a Service Ecosystem Perspective
Technology-based corporate groups currently face challenges in patent operations due to the absence of a patent operation system, leading to numerous contradictions.Using a service ecosystem perspective and employing grounded analysis, this study analyzes and outlines the objectives, foundations, and processes of patent operations in nearly 50 technology-based corporate groups.Four mechanisms, which are demand matching, resource integration, service models, and sustainable operations, are identified as constituent elements. The research suggests that corporate groups should avoid suppressing the operational needs expression of member enterprises, select service models based on an assessment of group resource integration capabilities, and an open configuration system is more conducive to achieving a sustainable patent operation framework.
