Analysis of the Current Status of AI Patent Applications and Comparative Study of the Examination Policies of Five Intellectual Property Offices
Currently,emerging technologies represented by artificial intelligence(AI)are sparking a wave of patent applications,and the surge in applications has posed new requirements and challenges for patent examination work.The five major intellectual property offices in China,the United States,Europe,Japan,and South Korea have actively responded to these challenges through various measures.This article deeply analyzes the distribution and development trends of patent applications in the AI field and major domestic and foreign applicants.It further studies the examination policies of the five offices in response to the surge in patent applications,fully collecting and analyzing beneficial domestic and international experiences and practices,providing intelligence support for building a strong intellectual property country and top-notch examination institutions.
