Discussion on improving flood control capability of Maoming City of Guangdong Province—Taking the"2022.7"extremely heavy rainstorm flood in Xiaodongjiang Basin as an example
The current flood control standard of Maoming City of Guangdong Province is relatively low.Limited by the current situation of city development,it is difficult to meet the designed flood standard in the construction of urban embankments. This article proposed to link the Xiaodongjiang River and Haoxin Lake, and built a one-dimensional hydrodynamic model of the river network of Xiaodongjiang River and Genzi River. The model was calibrated using the flood data in July 2022,and the impact of using Haoxin Lake for flood storage on the water level of the Maoming urban section of Xiaodongjiang River was studied.Research shown that:when Chejiaoshan Station in the upper reaches of Xiaodongjiang River experienced a flood with a peak flow of over 50 years return period, which was the same process and magnitude as the"2022.7"flood at Changshanyuan Station in the tributary of Xiaodongjiang River, with the initial water level of Haoxin Lake setting at a dead water level of 13.744 m,and the gate width setting at 10~100 m,the peak water level of Xiaodongjiang River in the area of Maoming City was decreased by 0~0.03 m,and the maximum inlet flow of the gate was 1.6~13 m3/s;with the initial water level of Haoxin Lake setting at 11.74 m and 9.74 m respectively, and the gate width setting at 10~50 m,the peak water level of Xiaodongjiang River in the area of Maoming City was decreased by 0.10~0.39 m and 0.24~0.94 m respectively, and the maximum inlet flow of the gate was 41.5~152.2 m3/s and 103.8~339.2 m3/s respectively. It is advisable to choose a gate width of 20~30 m when linking Haoxin Lake and Xiaodongjiang River. The research results can provide reference for the improvement of flood capacity of Maoming City.
