Effects of boron nitride and shell powder on crystallization and thermal conductivity of polylactic acid materials
The boron nitride(BN)/polylactic acid(PLA)and shell powder/PLA composites with high thermal conductivity were prepared by melt blending method using PLA as raw material and BN and shell powder as functional powders to improve the thermal conductivity of PLA.The changes in crystallinity and thermal conductivity of the composites were studied when the mass fractions of functional powders were 0.5%,1.0%and 1.5%.The crystallinity and semi crystallization time(t1/2)of the composite under different crystallization conditions were analyzed using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).The mechanical properties of the composites were tested using a universal tensile machine. The morphological characteristics of the tensile section were observed by scanning electron microscopy. The thermal conductivity of composite materials with different mass fractions of inorganic powder was tested by the thermal conductivity tester. The results show that after adding BN and shell powder, the crystallinity of the sample increases to 18.8%and 15.3%,respectively.At 105 ℃,the addition of BN and shell powder with a mass fraction of 1.5%can reduce the t1/2 of BN/PLA and shell powder/PLA to 0.33 and 0.39 min respectively. As the mass fraction of functional powder increases, the thermal conductivity of the composite gradually increases, and compared to that of the single functional powder, the compound powder of BN and shell powder has a more significant improvement effect on the thermal conductivity of PLA,from 0.177 W/(m·K)to 0.319 W/(m K)at the highest. The research results provide a reference for the subsequent preparation of cool feeling fiber.
