Statistical analysis on characteristics of edge-localized mode in initial H-mode experiments on EAST Tokamak
To analyze which parameters have strong correlations with the edge-localized mode(ELM)in early EAST Tokamak H-mode discharge,a statistical database of ELM characteristics for the early H-mode experiments(from 2010 to 2014)on EAST Tokamak has been established based on the successful effectiveness verification of utilizing the relative fluctuation of the Dα emission to estimate the amplitude of edge-localized modes quantitatively.Statistical analysis indicates that ELM frequency decreases with the increase of edge safety factorq95,type-Ⅲ ELM frequency increases with the increase of total heating power in 2010,different from the results on the other Tokamaks or EAST after 2015,partly because the level of carbon impurity changes. The carbon impurity is one of the critical factors affecting the frequency of ELMs in early H-mode experiments on EAST Tokamak.
