Research Progress on Application of Packaging Technology of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
Fresh-keeping packaging is one of the essential means to maintain the high quality of fruits and vegetables during storage and transportation,as well as to prevent mechanical damage.Its main mechanism is to reduce the respiration and transpiration of fruits and vegetables,inhibit the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms,improve the quality of fruits and vegetables,and extend the shelf life.This article reviewed the effects of various fresh-keeping packaging methods,including modified atmosphere packaging,film packaging,active packaging and nanotechnology packaging on the quality and storage characteristics of postharvest fruits and vegetables,aiming to provide insights for the preservation of postharvest fruits and vegetables.
