Effects of Different Types of Fertilizers on Tomato Growth
To screen the effects of different types of fertilizers on tomato growth and development, this study compared the impacts of compound microbial fertilizer, water soluble fertilizer containing humic acid, microbial inoculum,"Root Expansion and Fruit Enlargement"on tomato growth. The results indicated that fertilization treatments had varying degrees of influence on tomato plant height, stem diameter, leaf number, chlorophyll content, and above-ground and below-ground fresh weights.tomato treated with compound microbial fertilizer and microbial inoculant showed significant growth in plant height, reaching 39.2 cm and 38.8 cm respectively, which was 4.9 cm and 4.5 cm higher than the CK.Tomato treated with watersoluble fertilizer containing humic acid had the thickest stem, measuring 5.66 mm,which was 0.22 mm thicker than the CK.All treatments significantly promoted an increase in leaf number, while the"Root Expansion and Fruit Enlargement"treatment resulted in a relatively smaller increase in chlorophyll content. The microbial inoculant treatment yielded the highest above-ground and below-ground fresh weight of 20.82 g.The application of compound microbial fertilizer showed the best comprehensive promotion effect.
