Lettuce is a herbaceous plant of the lettuce genus in the Asteraceae family.It has a tender and crispy taste and is deeply loved by people.Tianzhu county is located in the arid mountainous area of Hexi,with a relatively stable lettuce planting area.The lettuce industry has become one of the main economic sources for farmers in the area.However,the drought and lack of rainfall in summer have led to severe lettuce bolting,seriously affecting the yield and marketability of lettuce in the area.Therefore,a comparative experiment was conducted on six lettuce varieties to comprehensively evaluate their growth period,disease resistance,bolting rate,agronomic traits,and economic traits.The results showed that'Hongzhu 3'had the lowest bolting rate,compact plant type,high yield,and strong disease resistance,making it the best lettuce variety,followed by'Hongjinbao'.These two varieties could be demonstrated and promoted in this area.
