Screening Test of New Potato Varieties in Yulin City
The potato varieties in Yulin city are mainly fresh and early maturing varieties,lacking late maturing,high starch,and late blight resistant varieties.In order to screen out varieties suitable for planting in this region and meet market demand,a screening experiment was conducted on 17 introduced potato varieties using'Xisen 6'as a control.The results showed that'Zhongshu 50'had a round shape,white skin,and white flesh,with a commodity rate of 90.91％and a yield of 5 058 kg/667 m2.'Zhongshu 24'had an elliptical shape,yellow skin,and light yellow flesh,with a commodity rate of 83.14％and a yield of 4 172 kg/667 m2.These two varieties had good characteristics and high yields,making them suitable for large-scale promotion in the sandy and grassy areas of northern Yulin.
