Advances in Research on Flavonoid Compounds in Plants
Flavonoids are a natural secondary product widely present in plants.These compounds exhibit a variety of physiological functions,which are of significant importance for the development of related major health products(antioxidant,regulating intestinal flora,antiviral,etc.).This paper provided a summary and classification of plants that contain flavonoids and offerred a overview of the extraction and purification methods for flavonoids.Additionally,it explored their various physiological functions,including the inhibition of oxidative stress,the retardation of aging,and the suppression of pathogenic microorganisms.This study served as a valuable reference source and a source of novel ideas for the development of natural products in the health industry.
