Objective To observe and compare the clinical efficacy of mesalazine enteric-coated tablets and salazine sulfamyridine enteric-coated tablets in the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Methods Total 96 patients with ulcerative colitis diagnosed and treated in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2023 were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 48 patients in each group. The control group was treated with oral salazopyridine enteric-coated tablets, and the observation group was treated with oral mesalazine enteric-coated tablets. The clinical efficacy, inflammatory factor levels, colonoscopy score and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.75%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(62.50%)(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the levels of inter-leukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).At the end of treatment, the levels of IL-8,IL-6 and TNF-α in both groups were lower than before treatment(P<0.05),and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in colonoscopy score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).At the end of treatment, the colonoscopy scores of both groups were lower than be-fore treatment, and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The inci-dence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with salazopyridine enteric-coated tablets, mesalazine enteric-coated tablets are effective in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, which can not only reduce the levels of inflamma-tion but also have higher safety.
