Clinical Efficacy of Bifidobacterium Quadruple Viable Bacteria Combined with Polyethylene Glycol Powder in Treatment of Constipation and Its Effect on Intestinal Flora
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of bifidobacterium quadruple viable bacteria com-bined with polyethylene glycol powder in the treatment of constipation and its effect on intestinal flora.Methods Total 76 patients with constipation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,38 cases in each group.The control group was treated with polyethylene glycol powder com-bined with placebo,while the observation group was treated with bifidobacterium quadruple viable bacteria combined with polyethylene glycol powder,and the course of treatment was 1 month.The clinical efficacy,clinical symptom scores,intestinal flora levels and occurrence of adverse reactions before and after treat-ment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in clinical symptom scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The clinical symptom scores of both groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment,which were lower in the ob-servation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in the intestinal flora levels between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of bifidobac-terium and lactobacillus in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05),which were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of Escherich-ia coli were lower after treatment,which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Bifidobacterium quadruple viable bacteria combined with polyethylene glycol powder is effective in the treatment of constipation,which can not only effectively improve the symptoms of constipation,but also regulate the intestinal flora of patients.It has high safety and effectiveness,and is worthy of clinical application.
