Clinical Efficacy of Paroxetine Combined with Bacillus Subtilis and Enterococcus Faecium Granules in Treat-ment of 32 Cases of Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Objective To observe the efficacy of paroxetine combined with bacillus subtilis and entero-coccus faecium granules in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Methods Total 68 patients with IBS were divided into the observation group(32 cases)and the control group(36 cases). The control group was treated with bacillus subtilis and enterococcus faecium granules, and the observation group was treated with paroxetine combined with bacillus subtilis and enterococcus faecium granules. The clinical effi-cacy of the two groups was compared. The number of typical intestinal flora and its Alpha diversity(Chao1 index and Shannon index)were detected, and the levels of serum inflammatory factors, including interleu-kin-18(IL-18),interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),were analyzed. The Depression Screening Scale(PHQ-9)scores before and after treatment were evaluated and compared. Results After 3 weeks of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The quantities of Streptococcus lactis(Sl),bifidobacterium(Bifido),Lactococcus lactis(L.lactis),Escherichia coli(E.coli),Chao1 index and Shannon index in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in PHQ-9 scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).PHQ-9 scores of both groups were de-creased after treatment, which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Paroxetine combined with bacillus subtilis and enterococcus faecium granules is effective in the treatment of IBS,which can not only effectively improve the intestinal ecological environment, but also reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, with high safety.
