Objective To investigate the effect of comprehensive nursing model on adverse reactions to chemotherapy in patients with colon cancer based on dynamic symptom model theory. Methods Total 82 patients with colon cancer chemotherapy were randomly divided into the control group and the observa-tion group,41 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given basic nursing intervention, and patients in the observation group were given comprehensive nursing model based on dynamic symptom model theory for intervention. The psychological state, quality of life,self-care ability and occurrence of ad-verse reactions of patients in both groups were observed. Results There was no significant difference in Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)and Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).One month after intervention,HAMD and HAMA scores in both groups were lower than those before intervention, which were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in quality of life questionnaire core 30 i-tems(QLQ-C30)scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).One month after inter-vention,the QLQ-C30 scores of both groups were higher than those before intervention, which were signifi-cantly higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA)scores between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05).One month after intervention,ESCA scores in both groups were higher than those before in-tervention,which were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The inci-dence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of comprehensive nursing model based on dynamic symptom model theory in patients with colon cancer undergoing chemotherapy is helpful to improve patients'nega-tive emotions, improve their quality of life and self-care ability, and reduce the occurrence of adverse reac-tions after chemotherapy.
