Changes of Intestinal Mucosal P-Glycoprotein,Peripheral Blood Endotoxin and D-Lactic Acid Levels in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis and Their Clinical Significance
Objective To investigate the changes of intestinal mucosal P-glycoprotein(P-GP),peripheral blood endotoxin and D-lactic acid levels in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC),and their clinical signifi-cance.Methods Total 82 UC patients diagnosed and treated from June 2020 to July 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 41 healthy people in the same period were selected as the control group. The positive expression rate of intestinal mucosal P-GP and the serum levels of endotoxin and D-lactic acid were compared between the two groups, and the differences of the positive expression rate of intestinal mucosal P-GP and the serum levels of endotoxin and D-lactic acid in patients with UC in different disease severity(mild, moderate, severe)and lesion involvement(rectal-sigmoid colon, left hemicolon, total colon)were analyzed. Results The positive expression rate of intestinal mucosal P-GP in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the serum levels of endotoxin and D-lactic acid in peripheral blood were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of intestinal mucosal P-GP in patients with mild, moderate and severe UC were decreased in turn, and the serum levels of endotoxin and D-lactic acid were increased in turn, with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of intestinal mucosal P-GP in patients with UC of rectal-sigmoid colon, left hemicolon and total colon were decreased in turn, and the serum levels of endo-toxin and D-lactic acid were increased in turn, with statistically significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05).The positive expression of intestinal mucosal P-GP in patients with UC was correlated with the serum levels of endotoxin and D-lactic acid(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of intesti-nal mucosal P-GP,serum endotoxin and D-lactic acid in patients with UC is abnormal, and this abnormal expression is related to the severity of the disease and the extent of lesion involvement, which has certain reference value for the evaluation of UC.
