Clinical Efficacy of Retention Enema of Ziyu Decoction Combined with Xilei Powder in Treatment of Heat-Toxin Exuberance Pattern of Ulcerative Proctitis
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of retention enema of Ziyu Decoction combined with Xilei Powder in treatment of heat-toxin exuberance pattern of ulcerative proctitis.Methods A total of 78 patients with heat-toxin exuberance pattern of ulcerative proctitis who were treated in our hospital from March 2021 to March 2023 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 39 cases in each group.The observation group was given retention enema of Ziyu Decoction and Xilei Pow-der,while the control group was given retention enema of Xilei Powder,once a day for continuous treat-ment for 1 month.The total effective rate of treatment,bloody mucopurulent stool,anal collapse and dis-tention,frequent bowel movements,scores of colonoscopy before and after treatment,and serum levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(92.3％,36/39)was significantly higher than that of the control group(74.4％,29/39)(P＜0.05).Af-ter treatment,bloody mucopurulent stool,anal collapse and distention,frequent bowel movements,scores of colonoscopy and serum levels of IL-6,hs-CRP,TNF-α in the two groups were significantly decreased,and the scores of symptoms,scores of colonoscopy and levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group were decreased(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with retention enema of Xilei Powder,reten-tion enema of combined Ziyu Decoction with Xilei Powder in the treatment of heat-toxin exuberance pat-tern of ulcerative proctitis has better efficacy,which can more effectively relieve the symptoms of patients and reduce the levels of inflammatory factors.
