Feasibility of Treating Postoperative Perianal Abscess and Anal Fistula Without Using Antibiotics
Objective To explore and analyze the feasibility of treating postoperative patients with peri-anal abscess and anal fistula without using antibiotics. Methods From November 2021 to November 2022,total 60 postoperative patients with perianal abscess and anal fistula in our hospital were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with Chinese medicinal fumigation, washing and sitz-bath,dressing change and infrared physiotherapy, while the control group was treated with conventional antibiotics for 3-5 days. The postop-erative temperature change, efficacy, length of hospital stay and postoperative infection were observed. Results There was no significant difference in cure rate, postoperative infection, temperature change,leu-kocyte and neutrophil changes between the two groups(P>0.05).The observation group was better than the control group in terms of hospitalization time and hospitalization cost, and the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion It is feasible to treat the postoperative patients with peri-anal abscess and anal fistula by using Chinese medicinal fumigation, washing and sitz-bath,dressing change and infrared physiotherapy without using antibiotics.
