Effect of Group Self-Affirmation Intervention on Anxiety,Depression and Stigma in Patients with Enterostomy for Rectal Cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of group self-affirmation intervention on anxiety,depres-sion and stigma in patients with enterostomy for rectal cancer. Methods From April 2020 to January 2023,total 86 patients with enterostomy for rectal cancer treated in our hospital were randomly divided in-to the observation group(42 cases)and the control group(44 cases). The control group received routine nursing intervention, and the observation group was combined with group self-affirmation intervention mode on the basis of the control group. The scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS),social impact scale(SIS),Karnofsky scale(KPS)and quality of Life scale for cancer patients(EORTCQLQ-C30)were observed and compared between the two groups before and after the interven-tion.Results After intervention, the scores of SAS and SDS in both groups were lower than before in-tervention,and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of SIS in both groups were significantly lower than before interven-tion,and were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).KPS and EORTC-QLQ-C30 scores in both groups were significantly higher than before intervention, and all scores in the ob-servation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Group self-affir-mation intervention can effectively reduce anxiety, depression and stigma in patients with enterostomy for rectal cancer, and improve their quality of life.
