Value of Serum Tumor Markers Combined with Fecal Occult Blood Test in Diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer
Objective To explore the value of serum tumor marker detection combined with fecal occult blood test(FOBT)in the diagnosis of colorectal cancer, and to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical di-agnosis of colorectal cancer. Methods Total 60 patients with colorectal cancer who were treated in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the observation group, and 60 patients with colorectal benign hyperplasia disease who were treated in our hospital at the same time were selected as the control group.Serum tumor marker detection,FOBT and combined detection were performed in both groups. The positive detection rates of the three detection methods were compared. The levels of serum tumor markers of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 50(CA50),carbohydrate antigen 199(CA199)and carbohydrate antigen 724(CA724)of the two groups were compared. The sensitivity and specificity of the three detection methods were compared. Results The positive detection rate of tumor marker detection was 81.67%,the positive detection rate of FOBT was 68.33%,and the positive detection rate of combined detection was 96.67%.The positive detection rate of combined detection was significantly higher than that of tumor marker detection and FOBT(P<0.05).The serum tumor marker level of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The sensitivities of serum tumor marker detection,FOBT,and combined detection were 81.67%,68.33%,and 96.67%,re-spectively.The sensitivity of combined detection was higher than that of single detection(P<0.05).The specificity of serum tumor marker detection,FOBT and combined detection was 98.33%,96.67%and 100.00%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the specificity among the three groups of pa-tients(P>0.05),and the Youden index of combined detection was 0.97.Conclusion Serum tumor marker detection combined with FOBT can effectively improve the detection rate of colorectal cancer pa-tients,and has high clinical diagnostic value. The two detection methods are simple to operate, and tumor markers are also conducive to judging the condition of patients, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
