Objective To observe the effect of remimazolam combined with transversus abdominis plane block(TAPB)on anesthesia for laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods Total 78 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were randomly di-vided into observation group and control group, with 39 cases in each group. The patients in both groups were undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. The patients in the observation group were given remimazolam combined with bilateral TAPB after anesthesia induction, while the patients in the control group were given bilateral TAPB.The changes of blood pressure and heart rate, postoperative re-covery,adverse reactions and pain degree of the two groups were compared. Results There was no sig-nificant difference in blood pressure and heart rate between the two groups before anesthesia(P>0.05).The blood pressure and heart rate 30 min after skin incision were higher than those before anesthesia(P<0.05),which were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The first ex-haust time, hospital stay and time to get out of bed after operation in the observation group were signifi-cantly shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative adverse reactions in the observation group was slightly lower than that in the control group, but there was no significant difference(P>0.05).The pain scores of the observation group 6 h and 12 h after operation were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Remimazolam combined with TAPB can im-prove the recovery of postoperative physiological function and shorten the length of hospital stay, which has better postoperative analgesia effect and fewer adverse reactions.
