Objective To observe and compare the clinical efficacy of modified thread-drawing method in transanal open-ing of intersphincteric space(TROPIS)and incision thread-drawing surgery for the treat-ment of high anal fistula. Methods Total 120 patients with high anal fistula were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with inci-sion thread-drawing surgery, and the observation group was treated with modified thread-drawing method in TROPIS.The efficacy, incidence of postoperative complications and postoperative recurrence rate of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The postoperative recurrence rate of the ob-servation group was lower than that of the control group 6 and 12 months after operation(P<0.05).Conclusion The modified thread-drawing method in TROPIS has significant effect on high anal fistula, low incidence of postoperative complications and recurrence rate, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
