Effect of Rapid Rehabilitation Concept on Postoperative Gastrointestinal Function Recovery and Stress Response in Patients with Colorectal Cancer During Perioperative Period
Objective To investigate the effect of the application of rapid rehabilitation concept on post-operative gastrointestinal function recovery and stress response in the perioperative period of colorectal cancer. Methods Total 90 patients with colorectal cancer who were to receive surgical treatment in our department from May 2022 to February 2023 were selected as research objects and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,45 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention during perioperative period, and the observation group received nursing intervention with rapid rehabilitation concept.Postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery, stress response indexes[serum cortisol(Cor),C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-2(IL-2)],postoper-ative complications, and emotional state[Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score,Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)score]of the two groups were compared. Results The first exhaust time, the earliest feeding time and the first defecation time in the observation group were earlier than those in the control group(P<0.05).On the day before operation, there were no significant differences in the levels of Cor,CRP and IL-2 between the two groups(P>0.05).On the first day after operation, the levels of Cor,CRP and IL-2 in both groups were increased, and the increase in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no significant differ-ence in HAMD and HAMA scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention,HAMD and HAMA scores were decreased in both groups, which were lower in the observation group than in the con-trol group(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention based on the concept of rapid rehabilitation in the perioperative period of colorectal cancer can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, alleviate the stress response of the body, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and relieve anxiety and depression.
