Objective To investigate the expression levels of CDX-2 and mismatch repair protein(PMS2)in colorectal cancer tissues and their diagnostic value in different stages of colorectal cancer. Methods Total 90 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to January 2024 were selected as the observation group, and another 90 patients with benign colorectal tumors were selected as the control group during the same period.According to TNM stage, the observation group was divided into stage Ⅰ group(21 cases),stage Ⅱ group(23 cases),stage Ⅲ group(28 cases)and stage Ⅳ group(18 ca-ses).Immunohistochemical staining was performed on the tumor tissues of all patients to detect the ex-pression levels of CDX-2 and PMS2.Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation be-tween CDX-2,PMS2 and the clinical stage of colorectal cancer, and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was established to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of CDX-2 and PMS2 in different stages of colorectal cancer. Results The positive rate of CDX-2 and PMS2 in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the positive rate of CDX-2 and PMS2 in colorectal cancer stage Ⅰ group was significantly lower than that in stage Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ groups(P<0.05).Spearman anal-ysis showed that CDX-2 and PMS2 were positively correlated with the clinical stages of colorectal cancer(P<0.05).The area under the diagnostic curve of CDX-2 for different stages of colorectal cancer was 0.622,and the sensitivity and specificity were 61.00%and 53.00%.The diagnostic area under the curve of PMS2 for different stages of colorectal cancer was 0.675,the sensitivity and specificity were 65.00%and 57.00%,and the combined area under the curve was 0.832,and the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity were significantly higher than that of single index(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of CDX-2 and PMS2 in colorectal cancer tissues are significantly up-regulated.CDX-2 and PMS2 are of certain diagnostic value for different stages of colorectal cancer, and the combination of both can provide references for the judgment of clinical stages of colorectal cancer.
