Clinical Efficacy of Acupoint Application of Chinese Medicinals and Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing In-tervention for Elderly Constipation
Objective To investigate the effect of acupoint application of Shengdahuang(Rhei Radix et Rhizoma)and Huangqi(Astragali Radix)combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing in-tervention on elderly constipation patients.Methods A total of 84 elderly constipation patients treated in our hospital from January 2021 to March 2023 were selected and divided into observation group and con-trol group by random number table method.The control group was given conventional basic intervention,while the observation group was given acupoint application of Shengdahuang and Huangqi combined with TCM nursing intervention.The clinical indicators were compared between the two groups after nursing.Results After nursing,the bowel movement,negative emotions,and quality of life scores of the observa-tion group were better than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The acupoint application of Shengdahuang and Huangqi combined with TCM nursing intervention can improve the constipation state of elderly patients,stabilize their anxious emotions,and en-hance their quality of life,which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
