Comparative Analysis of Clinical Efficacy of PPH with Double Purse-String Suture and RPH with Series Ligation in Treatment of Senile Prolapsed Hemorrhoids
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids(PPH)with double purse-string suture and Ruiyun procedure for hemorrhoids(RPH)with series ligation in the treatment of senile prolapsed hemorrhoids.Methods Total 60 elderly patients with prolapsed hemor-rhoids admitted to our department from March 2022 to December 2023 were randomly assigned 1 to 1.One group received PPH with double purse-string suture and the other group received RPH with series ligation.The overall clinical efficacy,operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative anal pain,wound healing time,hospital stay,and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Results The overall clinical effective rate of PPH with double purse-string suture group was higher than that of RPH with series ligation group(P＜0.05),and the operative time,intraoperative blood loss,VAS score of anal pain during first postoperative defecation and first postoperative day,wound healing time and hospital stay of RPH with series ligation group were significantly better than those of PPH with double purse-string suture group(P＜0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in PPH with double purse-string suture group was slightly higher than that in RPH with series ligation group,but the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Both PPH with double purse-string suture and RPH with series ligation have good results in the treatment of elderly pro-lapsed hemorrhoids,but the overall clinical efficacy of PPH with double purse-string suture is better,while RPH with series ligation has more advantages in terms of operation time,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative pain,wound healing time,and hospital stay.Clinical treatment options can be individually selected according to the actual situation of patients.
