Effect of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Defecography in Diagnosing Cause of Female Outlet Obstructive Constipation
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)defecog-raphy in female outlet obstructive constipation(OOC).Methods MRI defecography and X-ray defecog-raphy were used to diagnose the cause of OOC in 60 female patients admitted to our hospital in 2023.The diagnostic effect of MRI defecography and X-ray defecography was compared according to the criteria of clinical diagnosis. Results The diagnostic accuracy of X-ray defecography for rectal protrusion, rectal intussusception, perineal descent, pelvic floor spasm and intestinal hernia was higher than that of MRI de-fecography,but there was no statistical significance in the diagnostic accuracy except for intestinal hernia(P<0.05).The diagnostic accuracy of MRI defecography for bladder prolapse and uterine prolapse was significantly higher than that of X-ray defecography(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with X-ray de-fecography,MRI defecography has both advantages and disadvantages in the diagnosis of female OOC.It is less effective than X-ray defecography in the diagnosis of OOC caused by colorectal lesions, but it is more effective in the diagnosis of OOC caused by bladder prolapse and uterine prolapse.MRI defecography is complementary to X-ray defecography in diagnosing the cause of OOC.
