Expression Level and Clinical Significance of Mismatch Repair Gene in Non-Metastatic Colorectal Cancer Tissues
Objective To investigate the expression level and clinical significance of mismatch repair gene(MMR)in non-metastatic colorectal cancer tissues, and to analyze the correlation between MMR expres-sion and tumor pathological features. Methods A total of 180 patients with non-metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from March 2021 to April 2023 were selected, and all of whom received surgical treatment.Four MMR proteins(MLH1,MSH2,MSH6,PMS2)were detected from postoperative pathological tissue samples.According to the detection results, the patients were divided into deletion group(18 cases)and normal group(162 cases). The clinical data of both groups were collected and ob-served.Results The deletion rate of MMR protein expression in 180 patients with colorectal cancer was 10.00%,among which the deletion rate of MLH1,MSH2,MSH6 and PMS2 protein expression was 4.44%,1.11%,2.78%and 8.33%,respectively.The deletio n of MMR protein expression was correlated with age, tumor site, pathological stage and pathological type of patients with non-metastatic colorectal cancer(P<0.05).The tumor site and the degree of tumor differentiation were the factors affecting the expression deletion of MLHI and MSH6 protein(P<0.05).Tumor site and pathological type were the factors affecting the deletion of MSH2 protein expression(P<0.05).Tumor site, differentiation degree and pathologic type were the factors affecting the deletion of PMS 2 protein expression(P<0.05).Con-clusion There is a high deletion rate of MMR protein expression in patients with non-metastatic colorectal cancer, which is mainly related to tumor occurrence and progression, and can be used as an important indi-cator for clinical diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.
