Clinical Efficacy of Transperineal Partial Proctosigmoidectomy in Treatment of 20 Cases of Rectal Prolapse
Objective To investigate the effect of transperineal partial proctosigmoidectomy(Altemeier)in the treatment of rectal prolapse. Methods Total 40 cases of rectal prolapse treated in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2023 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 20 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with Altemeier operation, while the control group was given conventional operation. The efficacy, anal canal function and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The recovery time to normal bowel movement and the retraction time for rectal prolapse in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The rectal perception threshold was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Both the resting pressure and high pressure band length of anal canal in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the incidence of complications was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life score was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Altemeier operation for rectal prolapse has remarkable clinical effect, fast recovery time and few complica-tions,which is worthy of clinical application.
