Effect of Target-Controlled Infusion of Remifentanil on Anesthesia During Radical Resection of Colorectal Cancer
Objective To investigate the effect of target-controlled infusion of remifentanil on anesthesia during radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 80 patients who were to undergo radical resection of colorectal cancer in our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into study group and control group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group.During combined anesthesia, the study group received target-controlled infusion of remifentanil and the control group was given continuous intravenous infusion of propofol. The sedative and analgesic effects, dosage of anesthetic drugs, postoperative recovery, stress reaction before and after anesthesia and occur-rence of adverse reactions were observed in both groups. The sedative effect was evaluated by observer's as-sessment of alterness/sedation score(OAA/S score)10 min after extubation. The analgesic effect was e-valuated by visual analog scale(VAS)3 h and 6 h after extubation. Results There was no significant difference in OAA/S score 10 min after extubation and VAS score 3 h and 6 h after extubation between the two groups(P>0.05).The dosage of propofol and remifentanil in the study group was lower than that in the control group, and the time of eye opening to speech and waking time after operation were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).Serum levels of norepinephrine(NE)and cortisol(Cor)3 h after anesthesia were higher in both groups than before anesthesia, but lower in the study group than in the con-trol group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with continuous intravenous infusion of propofol,target-controlled infusion of remifentanil during radical resection of colorectal cancer does not show significant advantages in analgesic and sedative effects.However,target-controlled infusion can help reduce the dosage of anesthetic drugs, alleviate the stress response of patients, promote early postoperative recovery, and does not increase adverse reactions, with high safety.
