Clinical Study on Treatment of Circumferential Mixed Hemorrhoids with Sub-circumcision of Hemorrhoid Mucosa
Objective To investigate the effect of sub-circumcision of hemorrhoid mucosa in the treat-ment of circumferential mixed hemorrhoids. Methods Total 60 patients with circumferential mixed hemorrhoids admitted to our hospital from July to December 2023 were randomly assigned to experimental group and control group according to the ratio of 1∶1,with 30 cases in each group. The experimental group received sub-circumcision of hemorrhoid mucosa and the control group was given procedure for pro-lapse and hemorrhoids(PPH).The operative indexes and postoperative recovery were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in operation time, intraoperative blood loss, number of external hemorrhoidal removal and hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05).The quality of hemorrhoidal mucosa resection in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.05).At the first postoperative defecation, there was no significant difference in VAS score of anal pain between the two groups(P>0.05).On the 7th and 14th day after operation, the VAS scores of anal pain, anal distention and urgency scores of the experimental group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Three months after operation, there was no significant difference in the scores of anal distention and urgency between the two groups(P>0.05).In the control group,postopera-tive secondary hemorrhage occurred in 1 case and 1 case had anastomotic stenosis. No secondary bleeding and anastomotic stenosis occurred in the experimental group. Conclusion Compared with PPH,the treatment of circumferential mixed hemorrhoids with sub-circumcision of hemorrhoid mucosa is more ad-vantageous in the treatment of postoperative pain, anal distension and urgency.
