Objective To analyze the correlation between serum inflammatory factors and erythrocyte immune indexes with the dehydration degree in children with rotavirus enteritis. Methods Total 70 chil-dren with rotavirus enteritis admitted to our department from January 2023 to February 2024 and 70 healthy children(control group)who underwent physical examination during the same period were select-ed as the study objects.Children with rotavirus enteritis were further divided into mild, moderate and se-vere dehydration groups according to the degree of dehydration. The levels of serum inflammatory factors of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α),procalcitonin(PCT)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),and the levels of erythrocyte immune indexes of RFER,ERPN,FEIR,RBC-C3bR and RBC-ICR were detec-ted,and the correlation between the above indexes and the degree of dehydration were analyzed. Results The levels of serum inflammatory factors of TNF-α,PCT and hs-CRP in children with rotavirus enteritis were higher than those in the control group, and the levels of RFER,ERPN and RBC-C3bR in the erythro-cyte immune ndexes were lower than those in the control group, while the levels of FEIR and RBC-ICR were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).With the aggravation of dehydration, the serum levels of TNF-α,PCT,hs-CRP,FEIR and RBC-ICR in children with rotavirus enteritis were increased suc-cessively,while the levels of RFER,ERPN and RBC-C3bR were decreased successively, and there were sta-tistically significant differences in the above indexes among the groups without dehydration and those with mild, moderate and severe dehydration(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the serum levels of TNF-α,PCT and hs-CRP were negatively correlated with the levels of RFER,ERPN and RBC-C3bR in children with rotavirus enteritis(P<0.05),but positively correlated with the levels of FEIR and RBC-ICR(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum inflammatory factors of TNF-α,PCT,hs-CRP,and erythro-cyte immune indexes of RFER,ERPN,FEIR,RBC-C3bR,and RBC-ICR are closely related to the dehydra-tion degree in children with rotavirus enteritis, and can be used as reference indexes to evaluate the degree of dehydration.
