Occurrence of Colorectal Polyps and Its Correlation with Dietary Structure
Objective To investigate the characteristics of dietary structure in patients with colorectal polyps(CRP)and analyze its correlation with the occurrence of CRP.Methods Total 100 patients with CRP admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were included in CRP group, and 100 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination during the same period were selected as control group. The demographic data and dietary information of the subjects were collected by questionnaire and compared between the two groups. The risk factors of CRP were analyzed by single factor and multiple-fac-tor analysis. Results There were significant differences in body mass index(BMI),smoking history, combined hyperlipidemia,high-fat diet, irregular breakfast, carbohydrate intake, fat intake, protein intake, and frequency of eating meat and vegetables per week between the two groups(P<0.05).Multivariate a-nalysis showed that high BMI,high-fat diet, irregular breakfast, eating more meat and less vegetables per week were independent risk factors for CRP(P<0.05).Conclusion Dietary structure of patients with CRP is different from that of healthy subjects.High BMI,high-fat diet, irregular breakfast, high frequency of eating meat and low frequency of eating vegetables are independent risk factors for CRP.
