The design defects of a certain type of public transport escalator's cascade subsidence protection device found in the inspection are analyzed.Based on the investigation and inspection,combined with the requirements of the standard and the specification for the cascade subsidence protection device,starting from the principle of the cascade subsidence protection device,the design defects of the monitoring blind zone in the actual use of the product are pointed out,and the rectification scheme of increasing the number of detection rods for the cascade subsidence protection device is proposed to ensure the safe and reliable use of the escalator.
