For an old"oil to gas"long distance pipeline,the owner used internal testing,reinforcement,route change,cathodic protection transformation,multiple periodic inspection and other means,so that the old"oil to gas"long distance pipeline has been running smoothly for 8 years and has been used for 29 years.This paper carried out a comprehensive inspection and operational evaluation of the old"oil to gas"long distance pipeline.It is found that the regular inspection rules for long-distance pipelines basically meet the needs of enterprises for safety inspection and evaluation of their pipelines.The importance of data review and investigation in high consequence areas is emphasized from the perspective of inspection institutions.It is suggested that users should regularly investigate and evaluate stray current sources in the development of urbanization.Finally,the suggestion that internal testing should be carried out in the next cycle is put forward.
