For the design characteristics and structural characteristics of the welding seam on the end cover of the power plant header,various defects will occur during the production and welding process of the header end cover,and stress will be generated during the entire operation of the header in the future.There are some difficulties in detecting the corner welds of the header end cover,and phased array ultrasonic testing technology is proposed in this paper.The simulated welding samples for the header end cover were made,radiographic testing,ultrasonic testing and phased array ultrasonic testing were used to detect the samples and the test results were compared.The experimental results show that phased array ultrasonic testing technology has good detection effects.This provides a reference for phased array ultrasonic testing of corner welds on the header end cover.
