In this article,combined with the parabolic though solar thermal power plants'operation conditions and the characteristics of the pressure equipment,some typical damage modes in parabolic though solar thermal power plants have been identified,such as mechanical fatigue,thermal fatigue,molten salt corrosion,low molecular organic acid corrosion and alkali stress corrosion cracking.Also,how to inspect the thermal oil pipeline under the high temperature,how to find and evaluate the fatigue damage is always a difficult problem for inspection institution.In order to ensure the security of special equipment in solar-thermal power generation field,more scientific research should be strengthen.
