Given that the laws and regulations system of atmospheric storage tanks is not perfect,the standard system is not complete,the top-level design is lacking,and special in-service inspection and evaluation standards are not formed.The inspection and evaluation requirements are scattered among some comprehensive,management or inspection and maintenance standards.The qualifications of inspection institutions and inspectors are not managed by departments,and the coordination between standards and regulations,various standards is insufficient.Some technical requirements of current standards are worth commercial extraction.It is suggested that the system of laws and regulations should be improved as soon as possible,the top-level design should be done well,relevant standards should be revised or improved,special inspection and evaluation standards should be introduced at the national standard/industrial standard level,and group standards should be vigorously developed and popularized to ensure the safe operation of atmospheric storage tanks.
