In recent years, ground subsidence has also become the main cause of frequent pipeline accidents. This article analyzes the influencing factors of PE pipeline failure, and based on finite element software, explores the settlement of the ground and the stress situation of the pipeline itself under ground stress. The results indicate that the failure of PE pipelines is related to factors such as pipeline stress and time. When the strength of the ground force increases, the value of ground settlement increases, and the Von-Mises stress on the pipeline also increases. The compression deformation of the pipeline section is severe, leading to a decrease in the overall safety factor of the pipeline. This provides a theoretical reference for pipeline safety assessment under ground subsidence.
