试论恩格斯工人阶级文化研究范式——以英国文化研究范式为参照

恩格斯《英国工人阶级状况》提供的工人阶级文化研究范式,坚持历史唯物主义的内核和辩证的思想,展现了真实的日常生产与生活场景中的工人阶级的多样性,避免抽象片面或以局部代替整体,避免以过于乐观或悲观的个人化视角看待工人阶级;对工人阶级及其文化多样性、矛盾性的分析根植于资本主义生产、制度的发展以及资本主义意识形态的生产,避免文化研究完全成为日常经验细节的堆砌;根据工人阶级内部实际存在的矛盾搭建文化分析的结构维度,避免制造或掩盖工人群体内部存在的矛盾对立;运用辩证法对大量事实材料进行抽象概括,以把握工人阶级文化的整体性特征及发展趋势.这一研究范式对于当代文化研究具有很强的启示和借鉴意义.
Abstract
The research paradigm of working-class culture proposed by Engels in The Conditions of the Working Class in England centers on historical materialism and dialectics,showcasing the working-class di-versity in real-life scenarios.This research paradigm's analysis of the working class and its cultural diversity and ambivalence is rooted in capitalist production,institutional development,and the production of capitalist ideology,preventing cultural studies from becoming complete piles of the details of daily experience.This re-search paradigm employs dialectics to abstract and summarize a large amount of factual material to grasp the overall characteristics and development trends of working-class culture.
